Did you know that RailAdventure took over the former Isartal railway station in Pullach and turned it into a restaurant Isartaler Brauhaus with private brewery? Yeap, their side-business, which I find it a cool idea.

Recently, my acquaintance Jo and I took the S7 commuter train to Großhesselohe Isartalbahnhof station (S7 direction Wolfratshausen or S20 direction Höllriegelskreuth) for dinner at the restaurant. From the S-Bahn station, you can see through the brightly-lit restraurant.

From either end of the platform and short walk through the pedestrian underground, you can reach the restaurant entrance.

There are 3 seating areas – open-air terrace, bar or in the renovated saloon. We chose the saloon. It has a nice ambiance for gathering and dining with nicely restored wood panels and photo decorations of its past glory. The G-scale models of course caught my attention.

We opted for a typical Bavarian dish Schweinebraten and their restaurant’s famous brew. Stationsweizen. Even Jo said it was delicious and well-cooked. This dish paired well with the Stationsweizen!

Jo said I should visit the toilet and so I went. Hello there!

I wonder how does the ladies side look like.

Exclusive Model H0 Beer Refrigeration Car Typ G10 Isartaler Bahnhofsbräu

Piko made an exclusive model beer refrigeration car Typ G10 Isartaler Bahnhofsbräu, which is available only from the restaurant.

On both sides carry the motives of hop and wheat, the two key ingredients for beer and the front montage of legendary and iconic Baureihe 103.

As there is no real-sized refrigeration car (who know RailAdventure might order one made for them) with this motive, it will be towed with the LUXON dome obversation car on MIST-61 layout. The guests on board LUXON need a constant supply of the flavourful Isartaler Bahnhofsbräu beers
