Review: Alternative Coupling for Märklin/Trix Niederflurwagen (Rollende Landstraße (RoLa))

I was looking for an alternative coupling for the Märklin/Trix Niederflurwagen (Rollende Landstraße (RoLa)) (en. Rolling Highway/Road) to match the Hornby magnetic coupling that I use on modern railcars and locomotives. Review: Märklin & Piko BR 218 497-6 DB FZI Cottbus Special Livery

In Autumn 2021, Märklin and Piko announced the result of their joint project to produce Class (Baureihe) 218 497-6 DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung Cottbus in special livery. On one half of the diesel locomotive carries the Piko logo on a black blackground to symbolise the steam era and on the other half carries the Märklin logo on a white background to symbolise the modern Intercity livery. 2nd December Int. Model Railroading Day: My First Year Journey with Märklin H0

On every 2nd December since 2016, German (probably also European) model railroad enthusiasts and modellers celebrate the International Model Railroading Day (dt. Internationaler Tag der Modelleisenbahn). The well-known Eisenbahn Romantik moderator Hagen von Ortloff searched high and low if there was a day where model railroad enthusiasts could celebrate their hobby and found none. So, 2nd December was chosen as it is around this time that the model railroad fever starts as people takes out their models for the winter/Christmas season playtime and as Christmas gift for self and their kids. Märklin produced three types of this commemorative set in 1987 in conjunction with the 750 years founding of the city Berlin (1237-1987). Set 3100 is H0-analog while the above set 3600 is H0-Delta digital. Set 8887 is in Z-scale. Berlin had in the late 18th and first half of 19th century up to World War II 3 large factories that manufactured locomotives, of which the second largest steam locomotive manufacturer in the world and the largest … Continue reading Review: Märklin 3600 Delta Digital “750 Jahre Berlin” Set
