After a spectecular outing at the special exhibition in Loewenherz railway park, the mayor of Bad Niedrigsrode appointed “Der kleine ICE & Friends” (en “the Little ICE & Friends”) as Loewenherz’s mobility ambassadors. Speaking on behalf of his friends, the Little ICE thanked the mayor and park management for the honour and hope that the general public will be encouraged to use public transports and visit Loewenherz more often. City Pforzheim Donates Hybrid Bus to Loewenherz on Its 40th Anniversary

Bad Niedrigsrode’s twin city Pforzheim in Baden Württemberg donated a MAN Lion’s City GL hybrid (natural gas/biogas) bus to the Loewenherz Railway Park on its 40th anniversary recently. Both city mayors were present at a simple handover ceremony to the Loewenpark park management. According to Pforzheim mayor Friedrich Müller, the donation was a token of continuing friendship between the two cities and the effort of Loewenherz to preserve a piece of railway history for the future generations. First Special Exhibitions at Loewenherz

The park held its first special exhibitions at the second MIST-61 operating session on 25th and 26th June. After months of planning and construction, the two exhibitions “Eisenbahn in Kriegzeit: Spendenwagen “Ukraine Hilfe” (Railway in Wartime: Donation Car “Ukraine Hilfe”) und “Weltgeschwindigkeitrekorde: Vergangenkeit und Gegenwart” (World Speed Records: Past and Present) were held at the park. Märklin Delivers Special Donation Car “Frieden in Europa (Peace in Europe)” to Loewenherz

As the Ukraine war drags on, we are reminded of the peace that the European and world communities cherish. Märklin sends its special passenger/donation car to Loewenherz Railway Park in Bad Niedrigsrode for a special exhibition. The special second-class passenger/donation car (Type Bpmz 293.2 open seating car) comes in Ukraine flag (blue/yellow) livery and the white peace dove. The park management has prepared a concrete plinth for this exhibit piece and is in the process of getting it ready for the opening on 25th June 2022.
