Märklin Insider Club H0 Annual Car Series

Märklin Insider Club members receive an annual car as part of their annual subscription since 1993.

As you can see the article numbers before 2007 were randomly assigned with the 84-series at the beginning (8xxxx series now is the numbering scheme for Märlin Mini Club (Z-scale), followed by 46- amd 48-series.

Since 2007, starting from #48157 we see a continuous sequence. If Märklin keeps this numbering scheme and sequence for its H0 annual cars, we can expect that 48-series to be unique identifier for collectors of Märklin Insider Club annual cars. The already issued #48754 (1999 car), #48853 (1998 car) and #48921 (1997 car) will cause a break in the sequencing in year 2604, 2703 and 2771 respective. That’s the future problem!
