Collector series are popular among hobbyists and attract a certain following. Modell railroading manufacturers such as Märklin tapped on this demand and produced limited edition or a series of collector cars that appeals to collectors. These cars are usually advertisement cars for a product for example beers or for an annual event e.g. Märklin’s open day.

Märklin Insider MIST-61 member Rainer P. stood in front of his Haribo cars collection with a matching Baureihe (Class) 185 electric locomotive. Rainer has all Märklin H0 Haribo cars!

Beer advertisement makes a good impression on model refrigerator car as it stands in front of a Krombacher alcohol-free shandy (= Radler) (60% lemonade, 40% beer). I like this Krombacher Radler!

I am starting this page on Märklin collecttor series with my collection of series cars. I will add other Märklin collecttor series for purpose of research and information (I will identify them clearly if I do not own any collector cars).
