Loewenherz Module 1b

Each Loewenherz module has the same dimensions 1080mm x 450mm x 150mm. The length 1080mm corresponds to the geometry of Märklin C-tracks. The width 450mm and height 150mm follows the MIST-61 end module standards to ensure interoperability with neighbouring modules.

Module 1b is where the exhibitions are held. Two exhibition plinths opposite the park railway station provide a good view for visitors entering from the other side of the park from Module 1a ramp.

The park railway makes a stop at a station on Module 1b. The initial plan was to create a loop so that the park trains can come from either direction and stop at one of the sidings to allow the other train to pass through. After checking the space, I decided that there will be one track. The trains can come from any directions but there are off-the-scene loops where the trains can bypass each other.

On the visitor side, there is now a bus-stop that brings visitors to the park and a path for jogging and cycling. The pavement as initially planned does to extend all the way to the left end.

Step 1: Frame for the Module 1b

Both visitor and player sides of Module 1b is 5cm lower than the baseboard for the main tracks, allowing me to add stonewalls on both sides to cover up the gaps.

2 models on exhibition plinths to test their positions on the player side.

A park vehicle on the visitor side.
