Until now, I placed and removed my figures and model cars for every operating session. I was undecided whether they should be glued permanently on the modules. And now, ca. 100 H0 figures and model cars are now permanently attached on the layout using superglue.
Why superglue? Well, it sticks well, extremely well if you are not careful in handling them. Superglue is very fluid when take off the tube. So, I put some glue on a metal plate and wait for 10-20 seconds for it to thicken (dry-up). With a thicker consistency, I dipped the figures on the plate and then place them in its positions. Wait for 5 mins for them to dry and then used the other end of a brush to tap lightly each figure to check if they moved. If any does, then reglue it. After 2 days (I did them at the start of the operating session on Saturday morning), they sticked fixed on the module.
I do not use heat gun as the base is made of styrofoam; they will melt when in contact with heat.
The final result: the figures do not fall off when I put my modules on side way or during transport. Occassionally, I will check if any came off and then reglue them.
