I was looking for an alternative coupling for the Märklin/Trix Niederflurwagen (Rollende Landstraße (RoLa)) (en. Rolling Highway/Road) to match the Hornby magnetic coupling that I use on modern railcars and locomotives.
Hornby Vacuum Pipe Magnetic Coupling for End Low-floor Wagon
For one end of the low-floor wagon (Niederflurwagen), the standard coupling is applied. Markln/Trix does not offer NEM-adapter.

I used instead Hornby vacuum pipe magnetic coupling (R7399/7400) and straighten it by deforming it with naked light.

The other freight car, which acts as barrier car, is fitted with Hornby vacuum pipe magnetic coupling. It works well as I expected.
Hornby Buckeye Magnetic Coupling for Middle Low-floor Wagons
For the middle low-floor wagons, Märklin/Trix uses fixed connector. The spacing between wagons is ca. 7mm.

I could use instead Hornby buckeye magnetic coupling (R7398) for middle wagons. The resulting spacing doubled to ca. 14mm. It is a matter of taste and choice to use the original connectors or buckeye magnetic couplings. Here I made a choice not to use the “straightened” vacuum pipe magnetic coupling.

OK, we are ready to roll for the season.
