When you have rolling stocks – be it locomotive or wagon – eventually, you need to service and maintain them. The service maintenance workshop for scaled-models is a train service tray (dt. Lokliege). The one below is made from soft foam (there are trays made from hard foam); thus, providing the necessary cushion for the protuded parts eg. drivers or small, detailed parts such as whistle or pipings.

Likewise, there is space for hold the rolling stock vertically straight (below). The darker grey strip is a magnetic strip to hold loose objects such as screws.

I wanted to protect my investment. This tray is something I am looking for as I acquire more locomotives and other rolling stocks that require maintenance and for weathering projects.
