Extra Help To Complete The Track Construction

1 week to go before the second operating session and the roadbeds are being prepared for track laying,, Our MIST-61 group uses Märklin C-tracks for the two main lines (Märklin K-tracks will be an exception).

Each of my modules is 1080mm in length. I plan to weather the ties (BE: sleepers) concrete color and shades instead of leaving them brown, which represents wooden sleepers. Bad Niedrigsrode was and is an important connecting point between north-east and south-west of Germany, both for passenger and freight services. Upgrade to concrete sleepers allows Deutsche Bahn and other private railway operators to increase the speed; thus, improving the track capacity and reduce the travel time.

Unfortunately, Märklin does not produce any C- or K-tracks with concrete sleepers; which is a pity. Modellers are resorted to alternative and creative solutions. For me, I will adopt the weathering approach by Modellbahn Junge as shown on his YouTube video (only in German).

I will add other parts from Roco to add cosmetic changes along the tracks, for example concrete sleepers without rails.

DB Netz, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG and the railway infrastructure manager in Germany, sent their construction team and equipment for replace the sleepers and some rails near Loewenherz.

For railway fans, it is definitely a welcome sight to see men at work.
